Hi! I’m Marya.

If there’s one thing I know, it’s that life is meant to be a series of reinventions.

At my birthday in the spring of 2022, I did my usual reflection about where my life was heading.

I realized I was ready to move in a new direction.

Except I wasn’t surprised by what I wanted to do next.

I’ve had a buried desire to start a fashion and lifestyle blog for about 10 years.

I’ve started a lot of blogs in my life. But I judged myself for wanting to write about fashion. Thinking it wasn’t meaningful enough.

Learning about my Human Design helped me to see that I long to follow sparks of inspiration to be creative.

When I acknowledged what I wanted to do next, I had to work through my self-judgment about switching gears. When people change paths a lot, our society often calls them “flaky”. That’s a judgment I was projecting onto myself. But the desire to follow my heart was stronger than my judgments.

And my new blog was born.

Be So You is my fashion and lifestyle blog that celebrates midlife women over 40.

It's a space where midlife women can find inspiration and outfit ideas for what to wear over 40. Plus, tons of style tips and affirmation, and empowerment in knowing you are right where you need to be.

If your intuition says it’s a fit, I hope you’ll come find me in my new space.

You may wonder if I’ll be putting out more content for Happy Highly Sensitive Life. Right now, I don’t have any plans to. But that could change if I feel inspired.

Who knows where Be So You will take me. That’s the beauty of writing a lifestyle blog. I can go anywhere with it.
